Cocaine and Crack

Cocaine is one of the most abused stimulants in America. It is also noted as the drug that most commonly sends users to the emergency room.

It is a myth that cocaine is not addictive. It is one of the most psychologically addictive drugs known.

Cocaine is commonly either snorted as powder or smoked by either buying premade "crack" or by making "freebase" cocaine.

Most cocaine users use other drugs as well and may make cocktails using cocaine and other drugs such as heroin. Mixing cocaine and heroin is known as speedballing is very deadly.

Both River Phoenix and John Belushi killed themselves by shooting speedballs.

Cocaine is deadly even in powdered form

It is a common misconception that powered cocaine is harmless. Recently both Billy Mays (TV Pitchman) and John Entwistle (bass player for "The Who") deaths were attributed, at least in part, to snorting cocaine.
